Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from operators, retailers and enterprises we work with.

What does A-TECH Solutions do?

We design and build enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, mobile and web applications, and secure platforms for operators, retailers and industry leaders across Algeria, Africa and the Middle East.

Do you build custom software, or work with off-the-shelf products?

Both. We build custom platforms tailored to your workflow, and we also maintain a set of live products — like IntelliPOS and IntelliQueue — that businesses can adopt directly.

Which industries do you work with?

We work across cloud and digital transformation, eCommerce, telecom, healthcare, education, transport and logistics, retail, and smart cities. See our Industries page for details on each.

What does your delivery process look like?

Every engagement follows the same four stages: Discover (requirements and architecture), Design (system design and specification), Build (agile delivery with continuous integration), and Operate (managed operations and evolution).

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes. Our Managed Services cover IT outsourcing, maintenance, technical support and staff augmentation, so systems keep running well after launch day.

What languages do you work in?

Our team and this site operate in French, English and Arabic.

Where is A-TECH Solutions based?

We're based in Algiers, Algeria, and work with clients across Algeria, the wider Africa region and the Middle East.

How do I get started on a project?

Reach out through our Contact page or book a call — our team typically responds within one business day.

How much does a project cost?

It depends on scope — most engagements land between $5,000 and $50,000+. The fastest way to get a real number is our quote wizard, which takes a few minutes and comes with no commitment.

How long has A-TECH Solutions been in business?

Over 12 years. In that time we've delivered 20+ client projects and now run 10 products in production, for clients across Algeria, Africa and the Middle East.

What ready-to-use products can I adopt without a custom build?

Ten, currently in production: IntelliPOS, IntelliMenu, IntelliQueue, Delivery Advisor, IntelliClinic Manager, IntelliClub Manager, IntelliSchool Manager, Solution Pointage, Business Advisor and A-TECH Hosting. See our Products page for details on each.

How long does a typical project take?

It ranges from a few weeks for a focused build to several months for a full platform — timeline depends on scope, which is one of the first things we clarify in the quote process.

Do you build mobile apps for iOS and Android?

Yes — native and cross-platform, mainly with Flutter, and we handle publishing through the Apple Developer Program and Google Play Console.

Do you handle branding and visual identity, or just software?

Both. Alongside software, we've delivered full visual identity and branding systems — for TransaSim and the ESST Group among others. See the Branding category on our Portfolio page.

Do you work with subcontractors or delivery partners?

Yes, for larger missions we collaborate with a small network of agencies and specialists. See our Partners page for who we work with.

Where do you host projects, and is my data secure?

We deploy on major cloud providers — AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure and Firebase — as well as VPS hosting, depending on what a project needs.

Can you integrate with physical hardware like POS printers or IoT devices?

Yes. We regularly integrate receipt printers, Raspberry Pi/Orange Pi and Arduino-based devices, and other connected hardware into our POS and IoT solutions.

Will I be able to track progress while my project is being built?

Yes. We manage delivery through Jira, Airtable and Notion, and use GitHub/GitLab for source control, so you can follow progress instead of waiting for a big reveal at the end.

Can I get a price estimate without committing to anything?

Yes — our quote wizard is free, takes a few minutes, and every question is optional. You can also skip straight to submitting if you'd rather talk to us directly.

Will you sign an NDA before we discuss project details?

Yes, we're glad to sign an NDA before going into specifics — just mention it when you reach out.

Do you take on a lot of small projects, or focus on fewer clients?

We prioritize quality over quantity and long-term partnerships over one-off jobs — we'd rather do fewer projects well than spread thin across many.

What happens between agreeing to work together and the first line of code?

A kickoff where we align on vision, scope and success criteria together, so nothing gets built until everyone agrees on what "done" looks like.

Do you disappear once the project launches?

No — launch is a milestone, not an exit. Our Care Team stays engaged after go-live, and the relationship is built to continue well past delivery.

Do you handle UI/UX design and QA/testing, or only development?

Both are built into every engagement — UI/UX design and software QA aren't add-ons, they're part of how we deliver.

Can you migrate an existing website to a new CMS or platform?

Yes — we handle CMS migrations (including to/from WordPress) and platform migrations to eCommerce as part of our web development services.

What engagement or pricing models can I choose from?

Whatever fits your situation: Dedicated Resource (a team working exclusively on your project), Fixed Time/Fixed Price (agreed scope and price upfront, best when requirements are stable), Time & Material (hourly, flexible team size — good for ongoing upgrades), or Build-Operate-Transfer (we build and run it, then hand over full operations to you).

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Between our quality-assurance process and money-back policy, you're covered if delivered work doesn't meet what was agreed — the specifics are confirmed as part of your project agreement.

Can you integrate payment gateways like SATIM CIB/Dahabia, Stripe or PayPal?

Yes — we've integrated all three in production: SATIM's CIB/Dahabia for Algerian card payments, and Stripe and PayPal for international transactions, on platforms like Sabily (eSIM) and YedyGo (car rental).

Is IntelliPOS compatible with SambaPOS 3?

Yes — IntelliPOS is fully compatible with SambaPOS 3. It can run alongside your existing SambaPOS 3 setup or replace it, integrating with your current hardware (kiosks, kitchen printers/displays, waiter tablets and wall screens) without disrupting service.
